The history of the wizarding world is rich and diverse, and its rules are laid out for the reader to understand. Rowling's literary world is so enduring is its uniqueness when compared to other stories. Harry Potter and his world have gotten so popular that if you haven't read the books or gotten sorted into your House on Pottermore, you're behind the times. Rowling first wrote Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, we wonder if she knew just what a lasting mark on literature and pop culture she was making.
